We have been using Firebird Pre-Treatment since the initial release of the product. We have found the overall performance of the Firebird Pre-Treatment to be superior to any other Pre-Treatment we have used (DuPont, Lawson and Image Armor). We have been testing the new FBX-100 formulation in our production environment for almost 1 month and have found that the new FBX-100 performs even better than the original formulation. Specifically, we have noted that the prints are more vibrant, we have not experienced any yellowing on light colored garments, and it works great with our new Epson F2000 printer. We are able to use less treatment with the Firebird product than with any of the other brands we have used. Not only is the product great, but the team at Firebird are a pleasure to work with.

We were getting ready to do a very delicate job, white on black fabric, and were not having the results we were looking for, with the pre-treatment we were using. Reached out to Firebird and we were introduced, not only to their FBX-100, but also to their enhanced white ink for the Anajet MP5I printers. The results were astonishing! We are finally able to print white on dark fabrics, without having to cross our fingers. The print is consistent and very bright. This has opened up a whole new world for us. Next, we will be testing printing on red and orange fabric, which has also been a challenge for us……will post result, when we test.

Also, we printed on 50/50, 60/40 and 70/30 (poly/cotton) and had great results. Did wash tests and had no pealing or cracking of white ink.

So i have a little difficulty with staining before and after pre treatment , and i found that if i lower the heat press to around 300 degrees and do 10 second bursts with pet treatment we don’t stain. After printing we do the same 300 degrees and only cure the garments for 100 seconds no staining. PS these is with Gildan 100 % cotton tees

FBX-100 has become a staple in my pretreating process for all colored garments. I have found that it has the most consistent results of any other pretreat I have used as far as avoiding stains on shirts. Black shirts were always an issue with shiny box stains but I no longer have that problem with FBX. I also like the fact that it seems to be very “clear” and a thin forumla so I feel as if it is not going to clog or build up residue in my petreat machine like some other pretreats might. With a high quality shirt (like Next Level Apparel) that requires an low to average amount of pretreat, even red shirts are not staining with FBX once cooled. The wash results are also seeming to be really good. No complaints from customers and I have tested myself with great results.

We decided to give this pretreatment a shot after struggling with Anajet’s inhouse pretreat (which can not be heat pressed and stains fabric). The difference is amazing and the product is fantastic. No more messing around with fluid separation, shaking and agitation. No more mixing 50:50 blend of water. We use an automatic pretreat machine and every application is perfect and our whites have perfect coverage!

This is the best pretreatment that I have used so far for the Epson F2000. It works best if you’re printing white ink. CMYK prints don’t hold up as well, hence the 4 stars. It does smell, but the smell doesn’t last forever and disappears completely with the first wash. I don’t get staining, but I use less pretreatment than I would use for other brands. I use half the amount of Epson’s pretreatment. Shelf life is longer and I no longer have to shake the pretreatment vigorously before I use it.

We love using Firebird Light & Dark Pretreat. It’s consistent, truly helps reduce the burning, and provides superb vibrant prints when utilized correctly. We will be customers for a long time.

Best pre-treatment I’ve used by far. Can’t imagine going back to anything else

So, yeah… I know I’m supposed to be using ink direct from my manufacturer, and was warned against trying to use Firebird by their tech support… But after reading up I decided to give it a shot. Couldn’t be happier.
